With June right around the corner, Heirloom Cuisine wanted to take a look back on memorable events we've worked on in 2015. We also wanted to give our friends a glimpse at what we've got coming up!
Aside from numerous, memorable weddings, we've had the opportunity to cater several prestigious events such as: the Battle of New Orleans' Bicentennial Reception, an event for the Louisiana state Legislature put on by the Louisiana Seafood Board, the Louisiana Legends Gala, the Mental Health Association's Annual Gala, Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities' Annual Awards Dinner and many more.
Just because summer is here does not mean we're slowing down anytime soon either! Between wedding season and the upcoming gala for the Louisiana State Museum system's Capitol Park Museum, we're maintaining the momentum we've had all year.
Night at the Capitol Park Museum, the Capital Park Museum's gala, is the museum's largest fundraiser. Over the years, the gala has had several unique themes that have showcased the museum's many exhibits to the Baton Rouge community. This year's theme is "Starring Louisiana" and will pay homage to Louisiana's booming film industry. Past staples such as the gala's signature "Live Exhibits" (actors who portray various historical figures featured in the museum), a diverse silent auction and wonderful cuisine provided by Heirloom are all returning this year.
Heirloom has had the privilege of catering NATCPM for several years now. This year, however, is a special year for everyone at Heirloom. Our Event Director, Caryn Roland, has had the honor of serving as Chair of the Gala's board. Through Caryn's involvement, various members of Heirloom's staff have had the opportunity to work with Caryn and the gala's board on bringing this year's gala to life.
This year's gala is being presented by the Albemarle Foundation and will take place on June 6th, 2015 from 7-10PM at the Capitol Park Museum in downtown Baton Rouge.
